The breweries in Fort Collins are many in number.  If you are driving down Taft Hill odds are you wouldn’t notice the wonderful brewery tucked back out of sight.  If you haven’t been to Intersect Brewing you are missing out on yet another hidden beer gem here in our great city.  Located at Taft and Drake this brewery is in one of those rare spots in town not within sneezing distance of another brewery.  We sat down with Will the owner and discussed the creation and vision behind the beer.

Intersect Brewing opened up at 2160 W Drake Rd and quickly became the neighborhood brewery for a bunch of local residents.  Brewer Reilly Reid, a graduate of CSU, is heading up the brewing process and serving up some really delicious brews.  We tried the Passion Fruit Gose and the English Brown and both were on point.

This place is the quintessential neighborhood brewery.  It has a very comfortable atmosphere with a large outdoor patio space complete with fire pits and corn hole sets.  The brewery is very conducive to families to bring the whole family from kids to dogs while still being a great place for anyone in between to grab a beer.  Will set out to make this a place where hard working Moms and Dads could have a place where they could have a beer in a comfortable environment where the kids can enjoy themselves as well.  Everyone wins kind of situation.

Where does the name come from?  We were sure to ask Will about that.  After a little trouble with the original chosen name they eventually came to Intersect.  The name is really about music and beer intersecting together as well as just the idea of people coming together and intersecting.  I don’t know about you but I find comfort in that.
